Why Your Online Presence Matters More than Ever
Over the past week, we’ve had countless conversations with clients and collaborators across Colorado (and beyond). As we all adapt to this “new normal,” many of us are wondering how to best communicate with our staff, team members, guests and larger brand audience. This transition has been challenging on a number of levels, especially for businesses built on in-person interactions.
For those of you who have already invested in your brand identity, visual presentation and messaging—this is the time when that work pays off. A strong online presence supports the success of your “digital storefront,” from your website, to email communications, to social media. It’s a moment for quality over quantity, for meaningful connection and for living up to your brand’s values. As you navigate the future of your business and how to speak to your audience, we look forward to supporting you in any way that we can.
LOGO, SIGNAGE + MENU DESIGN | RESTAURANT OLIVIA | DENVER, CO
After the runaway success of their Avanti Food Hall outpost, Bistro Georgette, the hospitality team at Restaurant Olivia was eager to debut a standalone neighborhood eatery in Denver’s Wash Park neighborhood. Inspired by the menu’s handmade pastas, creative negronis and other refined Italian fare, we sought to create a timeless, contemporary trattoria aesthetic for Olivia’s visual identity. The restaurant’s location on a highly-trafficked corner also offered excellent placement for elegant signage, while a collaboration with local leather artisan Animal Handmade added a stunning finishing touch to the restaurant’s upscale menu design. EDITORIAL | GOING WITH THE GRAIN | COLORADO
In an era when the stories behind what we eat literally fuel our food culture, there are still certain ingredients we take for granted. Grains have been a central pillar of our food system for millenia, yet it's only in recent history that we've focused on farming single strains of these inherently diverse foodstuffs. This winter, we had the pleasure of interviewing local Colorado grain activists, to learn about the value of reclaiming that diversity—for our health, for flavor and for the benefit the planet.

WEBSITE CONTENT + REDESIGN | EXPLORE FITNESS | DENVER, CO
With a focus on holistic, adventure-centric training, Explore Fitness ranks among the leading boutique gyms in Denver’s fitness scene. Yet after 5 years of evolution as a small business, an outdated website no longer reflected the company’s expertise and experience. After refreshing all content and photography, we shifted the brand’s website to a clean and modern Squarespace template, highlighting client testimonials and the enthusiastic community that has grown around Explore’s unique approach to long-term wellness.

BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY | ZAKI MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE | DENVER, CO
In founding Cognoscenti Creative, one of our primary goals has been to provide high quality creative services at a scale accessible to small businesses and artisans. So when we were offered the opportunity to support two budding entrepreneurs from the Comal Heritage Food Incubator, we were thrilled to collaborate on launching their new catering service. Originally hailing from Syria, mother-daughter team Vian Alnidawi and Sara Nassr absolutely stunned us with their deeply flavorful and colorful dishes during a photoshoot at Realm Studio in Denver.
**The Comal Heritage Food Incubator is currently closed for business. Please consider making a donation to support their ongoing programs for residents of underserved neighborhoods in Denver.
