Pizza, Pitch Decks + The Power of Storytelling
With more than 10 years' experience in branding and marketing, we're no strangers to crafting persuasive campaigns. Yet it wasn't until we started writing and photographing for editorial outlets that we realized, ”Why shouldn't quality content live beyond the pages of a magazine?"
Your business may depend on people buying a product or commissioning your services, but marketing doesn’t have to feel like selling. We believe engaging storytelling and tactical brand materials exist on the same spectrum, and your brand communications can evolve to feel as compelling as editorial.
Below we share a mix of recent projects, from published articles to marketing and sales decks. If your business could benefit from fresh copywriting, inviting photography or eye-catching design, we’d love to discuss ways to elevate your storytelling strategy.
EDITORIAL | PAULIE GEE’S SLICE SHOP | BROOKLYN, NY
From lunch on-the-go to drunken late-night eats, slice pizza is intimately woven into New York City’s social fabric. Every few blocks in Manhattan (and only a bit further in Brooklyn or Queens) you’re bound to run into a grab-n-go shop. The most celebrated names in the old guard—Joe’s or DiFara, for example—ring with the time-worn familiarity of local heroes. But in the past few years, an increasing number of noteworthy upstarts have thrown their hat in the ring, including Paul Giannone, the career-changing entrepreneur behind the Paulie Gee’s pizza empire.
COPYWRITING | RAW CREATIVE | DENVER, CO
While our creative roots spring from the food, drink and hospitality sectors, our inspiration and interests cover a much broader range of sources. Raw Creative’s striking installations have long caught our eye, so we were thrilled to work on reshaping their brand story. Our collaboration began with pitch deck copywriting for their Design Assist program, which supports fellow architects and contractors. We’re excited to continue crafting Raw’s brand narrative, distinguishing their unique expertise and capabilities in the market.
EDITORIAL | RABELAIS BOOKS | BIDDEFORD, ME
On the surface, cookbooks may appear to be merely utilitarian: a way to get dinner on the table. But for Don and Samantha Lindgren of Rabelais Books, cookbooks—and other culinary ephemera—tell the story of our larger cultural heritage. From antique cookbooks from around the globe, to vintage cookie wrappers from the 1950s, to rare out-of-print editions, their collection attracts academic institutions and inspiration-hungry chefs alike.
DESIGN + COPYWRITING | LARIMER SQUARE | DENVER, CO
As the historic center of downtown Denver, Larimer Square serves as a social hub for both locals and visitors to the city. Yet maintaining this unique mix of culture and commerce involves more than enviable real estate. From pitch decks to event materials, we’ve provided strategic design and copywriting for the team’s ongoing marketing efforts—highlighting the Square’s colorful history, community mission and wealth of local resources.
EDITORIAL | LEOPOLD BROS. | DENVER, CO
Visiting Leopold Bros. wasn’t our first trip to a distillery, but it was certainly our most enlightening. For more than 20 years, brothers Scott and Todd Leopold have been leading the charge in sustainable distilling—all while developing noteworthy spirits that proudly stand-up to the best craft whiskeys, gins and liqueurs in the world. If you've ever doubted the benefits of eco-friendly business practices, we invite you to taste the fruits of their labor.
