Süti & Co.

A Scandinavian café and retail concept from Chef Andrea Uzarowski, Süti & Co. was envisioned as a beautifully curated gathering place where guests can enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle of their schedules. With a less hurried pace than the standard coffee shop, the brand strives to promote the mindful enjoyment of simple pleasures—most notably, that of Danish shortbread cookies inspired by Andrea’s childhood.

Chef Andrea had long dreamed of opening this café concept, and she came to our collaboration with an existing primary logo. We refined this initial design, developing a complementary Danish-inspired color palette, typography set and secondary logos for the brand, as well as core messaging that clearly differentiates the business in Boulder’s crowded hospitality market. These assets came together in the creation of a custom brand website, including an e-commerce shop and event offerings, as well as various print and digital marketing materials for the brand.

The Opportunity

The city of Boulder already has several noteworthy cafés, but the relaxed pace, curated home goods and charming cozy atmosphere offered by Süti & Co. make it a unique destination. Ensuring that the brand and its online presence clearly exude these attributes was a focus of our collaboration, both for the brand’s visual refresh and its core messaging.

The Challenge

While Chef Andrea’s training at Michelin-starred restaurants is impressive by any standards, this experience had not previously been leveraged in marketing her existing business: a catering operation called Fresh Food Further. In addition to establishing Süti & Co. as a unique destination, establishing Andrea’s credibility as a local thought leader was also a primary goal of the project, as was developing a shared brand ethos for the two companies (including a holistic brand refresh for Fresh Food Further, alongside the launch of Süti & Co.)

Visual + Verbal Storytelling

Stepping inside Süti & Co.—located in a historic home off Pearl Street—is an endlessly charming experience, thanks to Chef Andrea’s design-forward, yet accessible, taste in home goods. Capturing this aesthetic, as well as photos of her craveable sweets, helped to ensure the success of Süti & Co.’s multi-channel storytelling. Building on a successful brand launch, we continued to evolve the business’ voice and aesthetic through email marketing, social strategy, printed assets and the creative support of a pop-up, seasonal dinner series at the shop.
